                     Pictures of the Puppies
Two females and one male, just one hour old, after a rough entry into this world.  born by c-section on  May 15, 2005
The 4 day old pups are already singing the jail house blues.
Male pup had a serious accident.  Mother bite him and threw him out of the nest. At  first,  Jazz had allowed the pups to nurse and when they were all napping I left the room. Then she decided to get rid of them, and had the female in her mouth, but dropped her when I come through the door, because I heard the male screaming. He had 4 puncture wounds and the top one is quite deep.  So now I bottle feed the pups every two/three hours ( oh the night is SOOOO Short.) But they seem to be thriving and Jazz just looks at them every morning and glares, and then I take them away and do the bottle routine.
I like to evaluate the pups every time I look at them.  A suggestion in the Dr. Michael Fox book. And while looking at the 2 week old male pup while he is sleeping, I see a deep chest through the girth area and  a short loin area and looks like fair angulation in the rear and a good possibliity of an angle in the croup area. The pups all have color on their ears and hocks. That  comes down from Mike through Jazz, as they both have that cream  color.
Jazz female pup, taking a nap.2 weeks old.  Her name might be
                                Honeyhills Queen of Cool .
She is very calm and not dominate in play.
Jazz pups at 4 weeks out enjoying the hole  the big  dogs made,  and male pup is digging.
Male pup at 4 weeks old.
Male pup ( Quincy ) sleeping and guarding his sock. He is smallest of the litter ( I think the bites really set him back. ) He always plays, but get so indignant  if he ends up on the bottom of the pile.
Quincey at 7 weeks. He weighs more then the big female, Queenie.
Queenie at 7 weeks. She is submissive and friendly.Looks larger because of the fuzzy fur.
Sheena is dominate of the three and has the most color on her. She is the smallest, but is usully leading whatever mischief the three pups can get into.
Queenie  choked on her dry dog food this morning. It wasn't a complete blockage, but she was gasping/wheezing for every breath  and running in circles because she was scared. I couldn't get hold of her, so I opened the house door and she ran in the house and into her crate. I tried to shake her upside down, but that didn't help. So  I went and got my baster out of the cupboards and filled it with water and squirted that down her throat. Then each breath was a gargle instead of a wheeze.  But I couldn't think of anything else to do, so I gave her another squirt of water. This time she choked and gagged   on the water and that seems to have cleared it out.  She is back outside with the other pups enjoying a good game of tag and hide and seek through the tall weeds.  None the worse for  the experience.
